- Initial lock setting is more consistent and evenly spread over friction plates over traditinoal LSD systems
- Inner-coil spring design allows for less initial lock settings on frictions plates than traditional LSD to achieve similar response.
- Springs keep the friction plates in contact evenly and aids to prolong the life of the plates, while also preventing deformation of plate surface.
- Choice of 2 Cam Ramps on the Pressure Plate for Tuning.
- Ability to be adjusted for initial torque settings via positioning and number of coil springs.
- Vector of forece applied by the pressure plate is the same as the intitial lock springs,making the LSD actuation consistent.
- Chattering of plates are minimized in the RS Type design with consistent pressure across the radius of the friction plate surface.
